Julia earned her Master of Acupuncture from the Maryland University of Integrative Health and will be pursuing her Doctorate from the Won Institute in 2024. She is also a Certified NADA practitioner and a Registered Yoga Teacher.
In practice, Julia is passionate about providing care that combines evidence-based science with the innate wisdom of the human body. She believes that healing is a collaborative process and cares deeply about incorporating sensitivity, listening and patient empowerment into healthcare. She utilizes the various pillars of Chinese Medicine to tailor her treatments to patients’ needs including acupuncture, e-stim, fire cupping, moxibustion, herbal and dietary support.
Julia is experienced in general practice and has had clinical success treating fertility challenges, headaches and a broad spectrum of pain conditions. Her true passion lies in treating more complex internal conditions like autoimmune diseases, digestive disorders, allergies and reproductive health issues. She also loves partnering with patients on their emotional and spiritual health journeys as they navigate anxiety, trauma and addiction recovery. Every day, she feels deeply privileged to care for her patients.
When not in the treatment room, Julia is a singer and songwriter. She enjoys a good laugh with her partner, friends and family, baking and cuddling with her cats.
